Examining newly collected specimens of the shrimp, it revealed that the shrimp is a mixture of two shrimps with similar color pattern, Alpheus aff. heeia and Alpheus sp. Morphological characters and coloration of them are described in detail. Alpheus aff. heeia can be distinguished from Alpheus sp. in the presence of spiniform setae on the second segment of third maxilliped.
