The new species was found to be closely related to L. toshiokai and L. megatoshiokai according to the arrangement of dorsal setae, but distinguished from them by scutum shape and palpal setal formula. Furthermore, the major difference among them was that L. toshiokai and L. megatoshiokai had two pairs of sternal setae, whereas L. yoshiyukiae sp. n. had three pairs.
